Beginning Sewing Class for Kids

Create a fun project with novelty fabric while learning the basics of sewing.

Saturday morning, 9-noon:

Select from a variety of projects including a cute Doll Blanket, sweet Doll Dress or Holiday Apron. Students will learn about sewing machines, stitches, cutting fabric, and sewing safety while creating a cute project with novelty fabrics.

Although this class is focused on children, 8 years and up, adults are welcome too!

This is a 3-hour class. As space is limited (8 workstations), register early to reserve your place. Once registered you will receive an email with class requirements and further instructions. Fabrics and kits are available or students may bring their own supplies.

Although I have several classroom machines available, I recommend bringing your own machine for the best learning experience. Please let me know if you will need a machine for class.

Basic sewing supplies required for classes: scissors and pins ~ I recommend Kai scissors and Glass Head pins. An iron and cutting table are provided.

Sewing room safety is a priority! All students will be closely supervised.
