Beginning Sewing Class

Together we will learn the basics of your sewing machine while you create a simple quilt block.

Saturday afternoon, 1-4 pm:

Pick one of the featured projects for July: "Knot an Ordinary Purse" or Master Chef Apron. You will learn about your sewing machine, stitches, cutting fabric, and sewing safety while creating one of these projects.

This is a 3-hour class.

As space is limited (8 workstations), please register early to reserve your place. Once registered you will receive an email with class requirements and further instructions. Each class fee includes thread and supplies needed for the techniques to be covered. Any additional fabrics and kits may be purchased during class or students may bring their own.

Although I have several classroom machines available, I recommend bringing your own machine for the best learning experience. Please let me know if you will need a machine for class.

Students need to bring scissors and pins ~ I recommend Kai scissors and Glass Head pins ~ to class. An iron and cutting table are provided. Sewing room safety is a priority! All students will be closely supervised.
